This photo essay is the personal testimony of Melina Laboucan-Massimo, a Greenpeace campaigner from Little Buffalo, in Lubicon Cree traditional territory, about the devastating impacts a recent pipeline oil spill has had on her community.

Action in the Arctic

Kumi Naidoo takes direct action

Last week, despite being doused by a freezing jet of water fired from a water cannon, the International Executive Director of Greenpeace, Kumi Naidoo, scaled an Arctic oil rig 120km off the coast of Greenland. an immediate halt to drilling, and to request a copy of Cairn Energy's arctic oil spill response plan.

Barbie, it's over!

Breaking up is hard to do. But Ken and Barbie, who split last week over Barbie's rainforest wrecking, have done so in a very public way. Since then, Ken's interview has been watched over one million times, and over 200,000 people have written to Mattel demanding they stop packing their toys in rainforest destruction!
