Greenpeace seafood tour gets industry attention

Greenpeace toured supermarkets across Canada this spring with a simple message: stock sustainable seafood. We’re urging supermarkets to stop selling species on our Redlist. And we’re drawing attention to the grave impacts of overfishing on the world’s oceans. We’re also getting noticed. The seafood industry magazine Intrafish wrote recently that, “It seems every time Greenpeace goes to the grocery store change happens.”

According to a new report jointly released by Greenpeace China and Oxfam Hong Kong, climate change is hitting China’s poor the hardest while seriously weakening the country’s poverty alleviation efforts. The report, “Climate Change and Poverty: a case study of China”, also urges the government to commit to an ambitious climate rescue plan.
